Arunachal Pradesh, Oct 04 (ANI): Nestled in greenery paddy fields, Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh recently organised a music festival. The fifth edition of Ziro festival of music drew music lovers from across the northeastern region. Considered as one of India’s greatest outdoor music festivals, it registered a huge foothold bringing the hills alive. Organized by Ziro Festival of Music (ZFM) in collaboration with Department of Toursim, Arunachal Pradesh, music lovers had a gala time. The only band in the world that plays Howey and Bamhum together, a folkfusion band Abiogenesis from Dimapur, enthralled the audience with their performances. No Strings Attached, a band which specializes on American jazz and blues, also showcased its rocking performances at the fest. Assam-based alternative rock band Elephant in the Elevator set the stage on fire as it performed for the very first time. Other folk-fusion bands like Sofiyum, a Sikkim-based Lepcha folk fusion band, Koloma, a Tipra folk-fusion from Tripura, and Boomies Duo from Mizoram brought the classic genre with their performances. Apart from music, tourists also got the opportunity to explore the picturesque Ziro valley. Traditional food also topped the bucket list of tourists at the festival. Such festivals create a platform for budding artists of different genres to showcase their talents.
